Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of the Terms of Service and applies to everything you do through varg.ai, including via our API, SDK and any automated agent acting on your behalf. Breaching it may result in immediate removal of content, suspension or termination without refund, and referral to law enforcement.

1. Prohibited content

Do not use the Services to generate, upload, store, request or distribute content that:

2. Likeness, voice and consent

Our tools can produce convincing depictions of people. If you generate content featuring a real person you are solely responsible for holding, and being able to evidence, every necessary right: a written release covering likeness and voice, consent under applicable biometric and data protection law, and any union, talent or brand permission. Never upload a photograph, recording or voice sample of someone who has not agreed to its use here. Never depict a person in a sexual, criminal, medical or political context they have not agreed to. Never depict anyone under 18 in any sexualised context, real or synthetic.

3. Prohibited conduct

4. Third-party model rules also apply

Requests are executed by third-party model providers listed in our Subprocessors page. Their own usage policies apply to you in addition to this AUP, and some restrict commercial use or the depiction of real people more tightly than we do. Where they conflict, the stricter rule governs.

5. Reporting

Anyone — user or not — may report content or conduct that breaches this AUP or applicable law by emailing hello@varg.ai. This is our point of contact for notice and action, including under the EU Digital Services Act. Please include a link or identifier for the content, an explanation of why it is unlawful or infringing, your contact details, and a statement that your report is accurate and made in good faith.

Urgent categories. Mark your subject line CSAM or NCII for reports involving child sexual abuse material or non-consensual intimate imagery. We prioritise these, act to remove verified material without delay, and preserve and report as required by law. Copyright complaints follow the DMCA process in Section 8 of the Terms of Service.

We acknowledge reports, tell the reporter the outcome where we have their contact details, and notify affected users of removals and suspensions unless doing so is unlawful or would prejudice an investigation.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected breaches and may remove or restrict content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts and API keys, withhold or forfeit credits, and report to law enforcement or the relevant authority. Where we obtain actual knowledge of apparent child sexual abuse material we preserve and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as US law requires. We are not obliged to monitor content and do not undertake to do so; enforcement is at our discretion and no action or inaction waives any right.

If you believe enforcement action against your account was mistaken, write to hello@varg.ai and we will review it.
