# Axis-Free Speed Comparison — effect skill for numbers & charts

> **For AI agents:** find the right skill in one call — `curl -s "https://varg.ai/how-to/api/search?q=<what the person wants>"` returns the matching how-to page and the best skills with install commands, as markdown (Russian works too). Full index: https://varg.ai/how-to/llms.txt. Every page has a markdown twin: add `.md` to its path. Before generating anything, show the person the options on the how-to page.

Two or three bars with no axis numbers, just labels and a big multiplier like "2.4× faster".

- **Type:** [Effect](https://varg.ai/how-to/effects.md) · [Numbers & charts](https://varg.ai/how-to/browse/skills/numbers.md)
- **Slug:** `axis-free-comparison`
- **Status:** live
- **Publisher:** HeyGen (community)
- **License:** Apache-2.0
- **Source:** https://github.com/heygen-com/hyperframes/tree/main/registry/components/chart-story
- **Works in:** Claude Code, Claude.ai, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw, Gemini CLI, Any MCP client, varg Studio
- **Requires:** HyperFrames (npx hyperframes), Remotion, CapCut (by hand)
- **Cost:** Free — the take renders locally; generated footage, if any, bills by the model

## What it does

Built on [Chart Story](https://github.com/heygen-com/hyperframes/tree/main/registry/components/chart-story) by HeyGen (HyperFrames), Apache-2.0. The write-up and recipes below are varg's.

Clean bars in the product gradient vs grey competitors, "Higher is better" note, the multiplier counts up as the hero bar grows.

**When:** Performance claims in keynote style where the relative gap is the message.

**Watch out:** Do not drop axes without stating the test conditions in a small footnote.

**Timing:** Bars 0.8 s ease-out, hero bar last; multiplier count 0.8 s; hold 2 s.

**Also called:** Apple-style chart, 2x faster, relative bars

### In HyperFrames

```bash
npx hyperframes add chart-story
```
Hide the axis, set the hero bar fill to the brand gradient, and drive a `count-up` for the multiplier.

### In Remotion

```tsx
// npx shadcn@latest add @remocn/animated-bar-chart
const m = interpolate(frame,[20,44],[1,2.4],{extrapolateLeft:'clamp',extrapolateRight:'clamp'}).toFixed(1);
<h1>{m}× faster</h1>
```

### In CapCut

Two rectangle shapes keyframed on Scale X; Text "2.4× faster" with a counter template; small footnote text.

## Run the generation on varg

varg is one API key for the models these skills drive — Seedance 2.5, Kling 4, Veo 3.1, Wan 3, Nano Banana 2.1, GPT Image 2.5, ElevenLabs v4 and 200+ more — billed in credits, with a cost estimate before anything runs.
