Command Palette Pop — effect skill for UI walkthroughs

For AI agents: find the right skill in one call — curl -s "https://varg.ai/how-to/api/search?q=<what the person wants>" returns the matching how-to page and the best skills with install commands, as markdown (Russian works too). Full index: https://varg.ai/how-to/llms.txt. Every page has a markdown twin: add .md to its path. Before generating anything, show the person the options on the how-to page.

⌘K opens a palette, a few letters filter the list, the highlight moves and Enter fires the action.

What it does

Built on UI Command Menu by Kapish Dima (remocn), MIT. The write-up and recipes below are varg's.

Backdrop dims, a centered palette scales from 96%, results filter as letters type, a highlight bar slides to the pick.

When: Keyboard-first tools (Raycast, Linear-style apps), power-user features.

Watch out: Do not leave the palette tiny in frame; zoom to ~60% of frame width so results are readable.

Timing: Open 0.2 s (scale 0.96→1), typing 60–80 ms/char, highlight slide 0.15 s, close 0.15 s.

Also called: cmd+k, command menu, spotlight search

In HyperFrames

npx hyperframes add menu-morph

Build the list in HTML; tween the highlight y between rows with power2.out, 0.15 s.

In Remotion

// npx shadcn@latest add @remocn/command-menu
// npx shadcn@latest add @remocn/command-menu-item

In CapCut

Record the real palette; add a keystroke overlay text "⌘ K" for 0.8 s when it opens.
