How to make video sound effects in code with earshot — guide skill for sound effects

For AI agents: find the right skill in one call — curl -s "https://varg.ai/how-to/api/search?q=<what the person wants>" returns the matching how-to page and the best skills with install commands, as markdown (Russian works too). Full index: https://varg.ai/how-to/llms.txt. Every page has a markdown twin: add .md to its path. Before generating anything, show the person the options on the how-to page.

Open-source CLI and MCP server: make free UI and motion sound effects in code and let an agent hear them.

What it does

Sound effects for motion graphics made from code, with no ElevenLabs or Suno bill: a coding agent runs earshot forge to synthesize UI pops, knocks, hits, risers and chimes from a bank of 252 sounds, checks timing against the cut, and fixes what sounds wrong. It also describes a recording in words, scores a film's soundtrack against launch films and turns a recording into code the agent can vary. Runs locally on CPU as a CLI, Python API and MCP server. The source post (Japanese, 67K views, 1,421 bookmarks) shows a motion-graphics demo whose every sound came from code. Needs Python 3.10+ and ffmpeg.
