# Microsoft Advertising MCP (official) — model skill for ads & UGC

## What it does

Microsoft-hosted MCP server at partner.api.bingads.microsoft.com/ext/mcp/vnext, in open pilot with read-only access since June 2026. Tools such as GetAccounts, GetCampaigns, GetAdGroups, GetAds, GetKeywords, GetAssetGroups and GetAudienceAssociations return live account data and never modify it. Sign-in is Microsoft Entra ID OAuth (work or personal Microsoft accounts); Claude and ChatGPT need your own Entra app registration, while GitHub Copilot in VS Code signs in interactively.

## Use when

- audit Microsoft Ads accounts in chat
- list campaigns, ads and asset groups before a creative refresh
- check keywords and audiences across many client accounts

## Not for

- creating or editing campaigns (read-only pilot)
- generating ad creatives
