A wipe that enters from a corner on a diagonal. Variants: diagtl, diagtr, diagbl, diagbr.

What it does

Built on DirectionalWarp by pschroen (gl-transitions), MIT. The write-up and recipes below are varg's.

A slanted edge sweeps from one corner to the opposite one.

When: Sports, energetic promos, splitting attention between two subjects.

Watch out: Following a diagonal wipe with a horizontal one — pick one geometry per video.

Timing: 0.4–0.6 s.

In FFmpeg

Both inputs need the same size, frame rate, timebase, SAR and pixel format (settb=AVTB fixes the timebase error that fps alone leaves). offset is where the transition starts on the first clip's timeline (its length minus the overlap).
