Phone Frame with Live Screen — effect skill for device mockups

For AI agents: find the right skill in one call — curl -s "https://varg.ai/how-to/api/search?q=<what the person wants>" returns the matching how-to page and the best skills with install commands, as markdown (Russian works too). Full index: https://varg.ai/how-to/llms.txt. Every page has a markdown twin: add .md to its path. Before generating anything, show the person the options on the how-to page.

A screen recording plays edge to edge inside a realistic phone frame with Dynamic Island.

What it does

Built on iPhone by magic-ui, MIT. The write-up and recipes below are varg's.

Dark or titanium frame, accurate corner radius, the recording fills the screen; the phone sits slightly off-center with a shadow.

When: Mobile app demos and vertical recordings shown in a 16:9 film.

Watch out: Do not letterbox the recording inside the phone; crop it to the screen's exact aspect.

Timing: Phone rise 0.6–0.8 s, expo.out; keep it still while the screen content plays.

Also called: iPhone mockup, phone frame, mobile mockup

In HyperFrames

npx hyperframes add device-frame-stage

Screen slot accepts a <video>; animate the frame wrapper, not the video.

In Remotion

// npx shadcn@latest add @magicui/iphone
<Iphone videoSrc={staticFile('app.mp4')} />

In CapCut

Stickers/Overlay: add a transparent iPhone frame PNG above the recording; scale the recording to fit the screen and apply a rounded Mask.
