How to make a wedding or birthday invitation video with AI

For AI agents: find the right skill in one call — curl -s "https://varg.ai/how-to/api/search?q=<what the person wants>" returns the matching how-to page and the best skills with install commands, as markdown (Russian works too). Full index: https://varg.ai/how-to/llms.txt. Every page has a markdown twin: add .md to its path. Before generating anything, show the person the options on the how-to page. From a terminal: curl -fsSL https://varg.ai/install | sh installs the vargai CLI (https://varg.ai/how-to/cli.md): vargai search and vargai install <slug> with no key, every varg model after vargai login.

An invitation or save-the-date that opens (a pop-up card, an envelope, a 3D venue) onto the names, date and place, printed without a wrong letter, for WhatsApp. A step-by-step tutorial for Claude Code, Codex and Grok.

Output: A 15–30 s 9:16 video under 16 MB, plus the full-quality file to send as a document Price: in credits on varg, with a cost estimate before anything runs; the free skills below install in one command. How to make a wedding or birthday invitation video: step by step

  1. Collect the exact words: names as written, the date in the local format, the time, venue, city and one RSVP line; read them back before generating
  2. Make the open card as a still with GPT Image 2.5, quoting and spelling every word, and check each letter at full size
  3. Make the closed card or sealed envelope as an edit of that still: same table, light and angle
  4. Animate from closed to open with Seedance 2.5 first and last frames, paper sounds on, so the words land exactly as printed
  5. Add music, hold the last frame for 3 s, export 9:16 under 16 MB and send the full file as a document too

What works now (researched 2026-10-27)

Invitations are the second-largest occasion search after birthdays (851 suggestions, India-heavy, sent in WhatsApp groups). What works: a short reveal (a pop-up card unfolds, an envelope opens) that lands on large, clean names, date and place. The 2026 fix for misspelled AI text is to print the words on the last frame first and animate toward it.

  1. Print the names and date on a still first, then animate from the closed card to that still with first and last frames. In our test the names and "12 JUNE 2027 · LISBON" were spelled right on the first GPT Image 2.5 still and landed unchanged in the last frame of an 8 s Seedance 2.5 unfold. (varg how to, varg-occasion-video (tested 2026-10-30))
  2. Long text (venue, address, RSVP) goes in as real type, not generated pixels. The most-watched envelope tutorial builds every word as a real layer; generated paragraphs smudge. (Studio Bressi, envelope invitation in Canva (20k views))
  3. Keep it 15–30 s and under 16 MB for WhatsApp, and send the full file as a document too. WhatsApp compresses media; documents go up to 2 GB untouched. (WhatsApp, 2 GB file sharing)
  4. Read the details back to the couple before generating: names as written, the local date format, the city. A wrong letter on an invitation is the one mistake people cannot forgive; the date format differs by country.

Open pop-up card with the names printed (gpt_image_2_5)

The last frame: GPT Image 2.5 prints the name line and date line reliably when you quote and spell them. From varg how to, varg-occasion-video (tested 2026-10-30).

Top-down, slightly angled photo of an open handmade pop-up {OCCASION} invitation card on {SURFACE} in soft window light. Rising out of the center fold: layered {PALETTE} cardstock forming {SCENE}, {SMALL_FIGURES} under it, small paper lanterns on threads. Printed in elegant {COLOR} serif letters on the flat lower page: "{NAMES}" and below it "{DATE} · {CITY}", spelled exactly like that. Crisp fold lines, visible paper fibers, soft shadows under each layer. Photorealistic, no other text, no logos.

The unfold between closed and open (seedance_2_5)

Seedance 2.5 with files [closed, open] and first_last_frames; 8 s, paper sounds. From varg how to, varg-occasion-video (tested 2026-10-30).

Locked overhead camera, soft window light, real speed, one continuous shot. 0-2s: the closed card rests on the table. 2-5s: the cover swings open along its fold like a book, slowly and smoothly. 5-8s: the paper scene rises out of the fold layer by layer, lanterns swing gently, and the printed names and date settle into place and stay perfectly sharp. Sound: soft paper slide, the snap of cardstock unfolding, a gentle music-box chime. No hands, no extra text.

Trending formats to remake

To remake one: download the example with the media-download skill, take a frame a second and the transcript, write a beat list (time, shot, camera, on-screen text, sound), keep what the format needs, swap in the person's product or character (never the creator's face, voice, logo or footage), show the beat list and stills before spending, then make it with the skill named below.

  1. Pop-up card that unfolds: A handmade card opens and a paper scene rises from the fold layer by layer, then holds on the names and date. Why it spreads: Rising: a "turn any image into a pop-up book video" prompt drew 157k views and 926 bookmarks (about one save per like) in Sep 2026. Keep: Keep real paper physics (layers, fold lines, small shadows), a slow open and a 3 s hold on the words. Make it with Turn photos into an AI invitation, holiday greeting or tribute video (varg-occasion-video).
  2. Envelope reveal with real type: A sealed envelope opens, the card slides out and the names and details animate in as type. Why it spreads: The Canva envelope tutorial (20k views) is the template people copy; the type stays crisp because it is real. Keep: Keep the wax seal, the slide-out and large names first, then date, city and RSVP. Make it with HyperFrames (hyperframes).
  3. 3D animated invitation: A 3D venue or couple, a slow orbit, the details overlaid. Why it spreads: The most-watched AI invitation tutorial: 143k views (Nov 2025), from India where video invites are standard. Keep: Keep one slow camera move and the facts as overlay type. Make it with Turn photos into an AI invitation, holiday greeting or tribute video (varg-occasion-video).
