FCP MCP Server (FCPXML) — guide skill for editing & clips
For AI agents: find the right skill in one call —
curl -s "https://varg.ai/how-to/api/search?q=<what the person wants>"returns the matching how-to page and the best skills with install commands, as markdown (Russian works too). Full index: https://varg.ai/how-to/llms.txt. Every page has a markdown twin: add.mdto its path. Before generating anything, show the person the options on the how-to page.
Read, edit and generate real Final Cut Pro timelines as FCPXML: cut detection, markers, roles, transcript edits.

Use when
- generate an FCP timeline from a script or transcript
- add markers and chapters to an existing edit
- audit a timeline for gaps and flash frames
Install
- Claude Code:
claude mcp add fcpxml -e FCP_PROJECTS_DIR=~/Movies -- uvx fcp-mcp-server
