Phone in Hand Insert — effect skill for device mockups

For AI agents: find the right skill in one call — curl -s "https://varg.ai/how-to/api/search?q=<what the person wants>" returns the matching how-to page and the best skills with install commands, as markdown (Russian works too). Full index: https://varg.ai/how-to/llms.txt. Every page has a markdown twin: add .md to its path. Before generating anything, show the person the options on the how-to page.

A portrait phone held in frame shows a lock screen or app moment, as if filmed by a person.

What it does

Built on Slack Notification Ad by HeyGen (hyperframes), Apache-2.0. The write-up and recipes below are varg's.

Portrait phone, slight handheld drift, notifications or the app opening; a snappy Apple-style cut-in and out.

When: Consumer apps, notification-driven products, and YouTube/TikTok sponsor inserts.

Watch out: Do not freeze the phone perfectly still; a 1–2 px handheld drift sells it.

Timing: Insert 3–6 s; handheld drift ±2 px, 0.5 rad/s; cut in/out on beats.

Also called: hand-held phone, lock screen insert, portrait phone moment

In HyperFrames

npx hyperframes add slack-notification-ad

Or device-frame-stage + camera-shake (handheld preset) for any screen.

In Remotion

const dx = Math.sin(frame/23)*2, dy = Math.cos(frame/31)*2;
<div style={{transform:`translate(${dx}px,${dy}px) rotate(${dx*0.2}deg)`}}><Iphone videoSrc={app}/></div>

In CapCut

Film a hand holding a green-screen phone, then Remove BG → Chroma key and place the recording under it; or use a hand-phone template.
