Every plan is the same product. Higher tiers add volume and control.
Like OpenRouter, for video. Every model is billed at its provider price with no markup, from one credit balance — 1 credit = $0.01. Plans add the agent that plans and builds your videos, plus a monthly bundle of credits at cost: half of every plan comes back as credits. Free is Bring Your Own Agent: use varg from your own agent and pay only for what you generate.
The free tier. Connect Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT or any MCP client — or call the API and SDK — and varg generates at provider price; you pay only for the credits you use. The web agent on varg.ai is a taste on Free: about 10 turns a month. A plan raises that.
So a plan is worth its price on day one. Every plan is priced the same way: the agent at twice what its model compute costs us, plus credits at cost. Pro is $20 — $10 of it comes back as 1,000 credits every month. Plan credits refill each billing period; credits you buy separately never expire.
At provider price, for example: ai image ≈$0.05, 5s video clip (seedance 2, 480p) ≈$0.35, 5s hd video (720p) ≈$1.00, voiceover (30s) ≈$0.21, music track ≈$0.29, finished 30s ad, retries included ≈$4.80. Live prices for every model are on /models.
The credits plus a platform fee — 5.5% on a personal account, 8% on a team, 80¢ minimum — shown as its own line before you pay: $20.00 of credits is $21.10. That fee is the only margin on generation. Top-ups start at $5, and bought credits do not expire.
How plans measure the web agent: 1 million agent tokens = $1 of AI model compute at list price, so a limit means the same thing whichever model runs the agent. A typical agent turn uses about 25K. Each plan has a monthly allowance and a rolling 5-hour window.
The web agent pauses until the 5-hour window frees up or the month resets — the time is shown in Billing. Generations keep running, and your own agent over MCP, the API and the SDK keep working, because they are paid from credits. Upgrading lifts the limit immediately.
Team plans are $30, $100 or $200 per seat a month, 2 seats minimum, billed as one subscription. Each seat adds its agent allowance and its credits to one pool the whole workspace shares, and any editor can top the balance up. Read-only viewers are free and unlimited.
Nothing, unless you switch. Your plan keeps granting its monthly credits and now includes an agent allowance at least as large as what you pay for. Credits already granted stay usable until they expire.
